Charlotte, NC – December 6, 2012 – Charlotte’s Boxman Studios has earned national attention for their work repurposing and recycling shipping containers for everything from traveling sales experiences to client entertainment spaces. Most recently, their containers made up the Google Media Village in downtown Charlotte during the Democratic National Convention. As a result, they have experienced tremendous growth since opening their doors in 2008. Trinity Partners’ Terry Brennan helped the company find larger space that would allow them to continue to expand their business and clientele.

The company recently moved into 3601 Woodpark Boulevard: 65,850 SF of office and industrial space in North Charlotte. The location serves as Boxman’s headquarters and manufacturing facility. Trinity Partners’ Senior Broker, Bill Wood, represented the building’s owner, TA Associates, and Terry Brennan represented Boxman Studios in the transaction.

Company Founder David Campbell says the new location provides Boxman with flexibility and opportunity for growth. “The move is designed to consolidate our corporate offices, manufacturing, design, logistics, and storage businesses,” Campbell said. “The new space will also help us work more efficiently on projects to provide an even better finished product for our clients. It also means we’ll be able to work on up to 15 containers concurrently.”

“It’s a unique building, because even though it’s in a multi-tenant business park, it’s freestanding and fully-fenced,” Wood said. “It’s also in an ideal location in the immediate vicinity of the I-77 / I-85 interchange.”

Wood represents two additional buildings within the business park for owner TA Associates: 3401 Woodpark (56,000 SF) and 3804 Woodpark (48,600 SF), both of which are fully occupied. The Boxman lease brings the three building portfolio to 100% occupancy.
