Carolina Corporate Centre Acquired by The Simpson Organization

Trinity Partners is pleased to announce the sale of Raleigh’s Carolina Corporate Centre to The Simpson Organization, based in Atlanta, GA. Mark Alviano, Dunn Mileham, and David Morris of Trinity Partners handled the sale on behalf of the seller, Brookwood Financial Partners, LLC, a nationally-recognized private equity investment firm that specializes in acquiring and managing value-add commercial real estate and related operating businesses on behalf of a select group of institutional investors, family offices and high-net worth individuals.

Carolina Corporate Centre is an 89,812 square foot, class A, multi-tenant office building in the highly desirable Glenwood corridor near Crabtree Valley Mall. At the time of sale, the iconic building at 5400 Glenwood Avenue with its glass façade, landmark monument fountain and outstanding tenant roster featured 80% occupancy headlined by long-term anchors McAngus Goudelock & Courie (MGC) and CDM Smith.

“This sale is a testament to the property’s timeless design, continued high desirability, and the sustained flow of institutional capital into the Raleigh-Durham market,” said Mark Alviano, Director of Investment Sales for Trinity Partners in Raleigh. “The Simpson Organization (TSO) has had a long-standing commitment to the Triangle area. Their experience and professionalism augmented a smooth, efficient process resulting in a successful transaction for both TSO and Brookwood.”

Trinity Partners’ successful track record with Carolina Corporate Centre began in 2006. Led by Eve Pilkington, Director of Property Management and David Townsend, Partner/Director of Construction Services, the firm has overseen management at the property over the last ten years and spearheaded significant construction projects to improve the building’s exterior and interior spaces.
