Commercial Real Estate Firm Chooses Industry Leader to Manage Firm & Lead Expansion Strategy

Charlotte, NC – June 24, 2013 – Trinity Partners is pleased to announce the selection of Charlotte commercial real estate veteran Adam Colvin as its new Managing Partner after a year-long regional search. Colvin will join the firm July 22 at its Charlotte headquarters.

“I’m grateful to be entrusted with this role, as I’ve long admired Trinity Partners; their culture, success, and impact within the market,” Colvin said. “I look forward to joining their excellent team and the opportunity to build upon their impressive platform of service.”

Colvin moves to Trinity Partners after 20 years with Lincoln Harris, most recently as the Platform Director of Transactions for Lincoln Harris’ Bank of America account. He managed a team responsible for all Bank of America lease transactions in the 14-state Southeast region.

“Adam’s leadership and perspective will be integral to the continued growth of our firm,” said Peter Conway, founding partner. “He’ll focus on strategic issues, business development, and recruiting, while helping us develop strong internal and external synergies across our service platforms.”

Trinity Partners, after celebrating its 15th successful year in business this February, recently expanded services and staff in both its Charlotte and Raleigh offices. Trinity expects this expansion to continue, and the firm’s founding partners created the Managing Partner role a year ago to help manage strategic plans for growth while preserving the firm’s culture.

“We’ve known Adam both personally and professionally for over 20 years, and Adam shares our passion and entrepreneurial spirit, making him the perfect choice to guide and grow Trinity,” said Gary Chesson, founding partner. “Recently, we’ve expanded staff and service platforms by hiring several leaders from within the industry, and we have big plans for future growth within the region.”

“We’ve intentionally developed Trinity Partners as a place where the best and brightest can collaborate, excel, and grow,” said David Allen, founding partner. “In Adam, we’ve found a leader who mirrors our best-in-class, entrepreneurial culture, and we know he’ll be a great fit.”

Founded by Allen, Chesson, and Conway in 1998, Trinity Partners consists of 70 commercial real estate professionals located in the firm’s Charlotte headquarters and Triangle office. The firm has steadily grown through recruiting and service line expansion, with several notable moves in the past year. Rhea Greene and Terry Brennan were named partners, veteran broker Sam DiFranco and his team (formerly with Cresa) were hired to expand tenant representation and investment sales services in the Triangle, and Sam Shumate and Willie Morris (formerly with Cassidy Turley) joined Trinity to start the firm’s Land Services division. Most recently, Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer’s Todd Harrelson joined Trinity’s Raleigh office to work with Beverly Keith to expand the firm’s Retail Services group.
