News Trinity Partners Establishes Atlanta Presence with Acquisition of APG Real Estate Services

May 23, 2024

Trinity Partners, a full-service commercial real estate firm serving corporate users and institutional owners headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, today announced it is establishing operations in Atlanta with the acquisition of APG Real Estate Services, Atlanta Property Group’s (APG) leasing and management platform. The acquisition brings 46 industry professionals and a 19-building, 5 million-square-foot portfolio of property management and leasing services to Trinity Partners, which has worked for many of Atlanta’s respected institutional owners across the Carolinas.

“Atlanta has always been a logical market for Trinity Partners’ expansion, and now, the time is finally right,” said Adam Colvin, managing partner at Trinity Partners. “With this acquisition, Trinity Partners is officially planting its flag in Atlanta, continuing a growth story that has been playing out across the Southeast. The team at APG Real Estate Services is a natural fit for our culture and entrepreneurial spirit, and we look forward to building off the market’s momentum through creative, custom solutions that enable our clients’ investments to thrive.”

The Atlanta office will be helmed by a highly experienced team with deep roots in Atlanta, led by Austin Chase and Robert Pavese, with Joe Crawford, Sarah Beckom Stevens and Kathy Long, who will oversee and expand Trinity Partners’ Atlanta portfolio. Each of the partners are coming to Trinity Partners from APG and bring an average of 20 years of experience in executing deals, property management, supporting client initiatives and applying a solution-oriented approach to bolster business in and around Atlanta. Trinity Partners will lease and manage each office, retail and mixed-use asset within APG’s owned portfolio. Trinity Partners will remain a privately-owned, separate entity from its client APG.

“When we made the decision to transition out of the service business to focus solely on investment and asset management, we were pleased to hand over operations to one of the industry’s foremost players,” said Jonathan Rodbell, Partner at APG. “Trinity Partners’ people-first culture mirrors our own, and that was the most important quality in selecting a buyer. We know this team, we trust this team and will be cheering for their continued growth and success as they launch into a new era of their business. Atlanta Property Group will focus on its original and core business, which is investing in real estate in our target markets.”

Properties in Trinity Partners’ Atlanta portfolio include Palisades, a four-building, 639,000-square-foot office campus in Central Perimeter; Stockyards, a 142,000-square-foot adaptive reuse and mixed-use community in West Midtown; Peachtree 25th a 366,000-square-foot office building in Buckhead; 400 Overlook, a 140,000-square-foot industrial facility in Alpharetta; and Parkbrook Place, a 54,000-square-foot medical office building in Woodstock, among several others.

In addition to expanding Trinity Partners’ proven third-party management platform, the Atlanta office will be focused on growing the firm’s service lines of landlord leasing, tenant representation and investment sales across office, industrial, retail and medical/healthcare assets.

“In kicking off Trinity Partners’ Atlanta journey, I look forward to drawing on the positive reputation it has built throughout the Southeast as we work to advance our business and bolster our capabilities,” said Chase. “This is a team that is nimble, strategic and has its finger on the pulse of our ever-evolving industry. One of our primary goals will be to grow our brokerage team, as we aim to add a diverse group of talented individuals that reflect our commitment to empowering the next generation.”

More than 60% of the equity partners across Trinity Partners are practicing real estate brokers, a distinction that allows the firm to have a keen understanding of how to serve as a resource for established and emerging brokers.

Founded in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1998, Trinity Partners expanded to Raleigh in 2009 and Greenville in 2013. It opened a second South Carolina office in Columbia in 2018. This acquisition brings Trinity Partners to 250 professionals and a 36 million-square-foot leasing and management portfolio.
