Columbia, South Carolina – January 23, 2025, Trinity Partners is pleased to announce the sale of a Class A office building located at 1710 Gervais Street in Columbia, SC.

Macon Lovelace, SIOR and Meredith Rhodes of Trinity Partners represented the seller, SouthState Bank in the transaction. The 22,500 square foot building was purchased by Optus Financial Holdings for $2,600,000 and will serve as Optus Bank corporate headquarters. Optus Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of Optus Financial Corporation. Optus Bank, founded in 1921 as Victory Savings Bank, is the only Minority Depository Institution in South Carolina, one of 22 minority Black-owned banks nationwide and a U.S. Treasury-certified Community Development Financial Institution. Optus Bank has worked to ensure that all people, regardless of the color of their skin or their financial situation have access to credit, capital, banking services and helping to close the racial wealth gap. Optus Bank is expected to occupy the space in the second half of this year.

The building is in great condition as it underwent an extensive renovation in 2017. Its proximity to Columbia’s Central Business District was another important factor for the purchaser.
