Trinity Partners is pleased to announce a series of lease transactions at Steel Yard, Charlotte’s storied South End campus, reflecting continued tenant loyalty and growing demand at one of the submarket’s most distinctive addresses.

Leading the activity, Toppan Packaging Americas Holdings has expanded and renewed its lease, growing from 7,929 square feet to 12,805 square feet, cementing its place as Steel Yard’s largest tenant. A leading provider of innovative and sustainable packaging solutions, Toppan Packaging Americas Holdings offers a comprehensive portfolio spanning flexible and thermoformed packaging, with manufacturing and design facilities across the globe. The company is part of the TOPPAN Group, founded in 1900 and employing more than 50,000 people worldwide, serving customers across healthcare, medical devices, consumer goods, and food industries.

Joining Toppan in recommitting to the property, Cherished Moments renewed its 3,402-square-foot lease. FD Transaction Advisory and Ritholtz Wealth Management have each also elected to extend their tenancy at Steel Yard.

Steel Yard is a true Charlotte original. Dating back to the early 1900s, the property once housed one of the first factories in the Dilworth industrial district and has since been beautifully renovated and restored into three buildings home to local, national, and international businesses — alongside some of Charlotte’s favorite retailers and restaurants, including Sullivan’s Steakhouse, a Steel Yard fixture since 1997. Located at the corner of South Boulevard and Tremont Avenue, the campus sits at the center of South End’s prime retail and restaurant corridor, steps from multifamily, the light rail, and the popular Rail Trail. Stockbridge Capital Group acquired the asset in 2014. Trinity Partners has been leasing and managing the property since 2011.

“As South End has exploded in popularity, experiencing tremendous growth, Steel Yard remains an absolute classic in arguably the best location in the submarket,” said Tim Arnold, Director, Trinity Partners. “Nothing comes close to its unique character and appeal, and tenants appreciate its history and charm — not to mention its accessibility and onsite parking deck.” Arnold and John Hannon, Senior Director, are responsible for leasing at Steel Yard on behalf of ownership.
