News Shumaker, Loop, & Kendrick chooses Bank of America Plaza.
Downtown Charlotte’s Bank of America Plaza is gearing up to welcome a new tenant: Shumaker, Loop, & Kendrick. The law firm will relocate from First Citizens Plaza in the fall of 2015, taking 22,718 SF of space (all of the 22nd floor and part of the 23rd floor).
Trinity Partners’ Rhea Greene represented TIER REIT, Bank of America’s owner. Patrick Duffy and Taylor Senter of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented the tenant.
Bank of America Plaza is a well-known fixture in downtown Charlotte, sitting at the corner of Trade and Tryon. Most widely known for “the big gold disk” that welcomes guests and tenants (Il Grande Disco), the building is home to several of Charlotte’s most prominent businesses, including SCOR, Alston + Bird, and, of course, Bank of America.
“We’re honored that Shumaker Loop chose Bank of America Plaza,” said Greene. “Because it’s in the heart of the city, Bank of America Plaza serves as the perfect backdrop for great art, weekday farmers’ markets, and the city’s professional scene. We’re excited for the Shumaker team to be a part of the diverse tenant mix.”
