Trinity Partners has hired Ben Speir as Division Partner of the Charlotte office’s Occupier Services division. Speir previously worked as Director of Tenant Advisory Services for Trinity Partners from 2007 – 2010.

As leader of Occupier Services, Speir will lead the firm in representing and advising office and industrial end users, specializing in portfolio transaction strategy and management, financial analysis, and lease negotiations, acquisitions, and restructuring. Prior to Trinity Partners, Speir led his own firm, Speir Commercial, and previously served as Partner at CherrySpeir, both focused on occupier services. Speir had the opportunity to join a range of firms from boutique developers to national global service providers, but noted that Trinity Partners’ full-service platform and privately held, partner ownership were key differentiators.

“As the market and workplace evolve, deals are becoming more complex. It’s more important than ever to counsel clients throughout the lifecycle of their leasing experience and tenancy,” Speir said. “Trinity offers collaboration with market experts, project management, and workplace programming professionals. We’ll provide clients with a holistic, full-service approach to ensure the best possible outcome for their work environment.”

Speir specializes in real estate portfolio and transaction management for office occupiers on a national and local level. Through his 23-year career, Speir has developed a passion for building relationships and providing a higher level of service. He is skilled in navigating complex lease transactions and is known for his loyalty and uncompromising advocacy on behalf of his clients. He’s particularly known for his law firm expertise and counts multiple law firms among clients served, including Am Law 100 and 200 firms. Speir has exclusively represented the real estate portfolio of McAngus Goudelock & Courie (MGC Law), a leading insurance defense firm, since 2011.

“We’ve been very deliberate about finding the right leadership for our Occupier Services division, and our patience has paid off. Ben will leverage our resources with his expertise and established relationships to provide expert counsel and white-glove service,” said Adam Colvin, Managing Partner at Trinity Partners. “I think it says a lot that he’s returning to Trinity after 13 years. We’re thrilled to have him back. He’s an engaging leader and problem-solver who will fit right in with our approach to both the industry and our culture at work.”

Speir’s first day at Trinity Partners is December 4th, and can be reached at bspeir@trinity-partners.com.
