Little Known Fact

My first job was on a tobacco farm.

Jay joined Trinity in 2002 and oversees building operations and provides technical support for all of Trinity Partners’ Property Management team members along with representing the firm’s Charlotte Corporate office for technical support. He has established programs for the operation, maintenance and capital improvement of all buildings and equipment and carries out of those capital plans as required to ensure that property values are not compromised. Jay has direct oversight on building systems, work order programming and Energystar reporting for over six million square feet in Charlotte.

Notable clients include IBM, Ally Bank, Duke Energy, NASCAR, BB&T Bank, Cerberus Capital Management, AIG, TIAA CREF, AT&T, Phillip Morris, Rubber Maid and Fluor Corp.

Jay has been involved in several notable projects in the Charlotte market, including the following:

IBM Charlotte R&D, manufacturing, and corporate offices: 1.9 million square feet facility-Central Utility Plant Operator, Chief Electrical Specialist, and site Operations Manager. Some features of the campus included numerous laboratories, product stress and human product interaction facilities, 50 square feet data center, 400,000 of manufacturing, automated crane storage center, chemical plant, stand alone utilities plant, Cafeteria and expansive shipping and receiving facilities. 1986-2004.

440 South Church Street Charlotte NC- Jay worked alongside Trinity Partners’ Project Management team to consult on building systems design, construction, commissioning, and startup for a new high rise office tower. Jay also acted as LEED AP for recertifying the building for LEED EB.

Lakepointe buildings 1 and 2: When ownership decided to pursue LEED certification, Jay acted as LEED AP to certify two buildings for LEED existing buildings operations and maintenance.

400 South Tryon: Jay worked closely with Trinity Capital Advisors and DRA Advisors to upgrade the energy efficiency of a fifty-year-old 33 story high rise office tower.  Jay acted as Operations manager and Project manager for large HVAC plant upgrades-new chillers, pumps, cooling towers and pneumatic to DDC conversions as well as a Full building LED retrofit of 6000 existing light fixtures.
