Midrex Technologies, Inc. has signed a deal at LakePointe Corporate Center 5, leasing 46,259 SF at the Class-A office building in Charlotte. The international process technology company is expected to occupy the space this summer.

Rhea Greene and John Ball with Trinity Partners represented the landlord, Atlanta Property Group (APG). Scott Wilson with Childress Klein Properties represented Midrex in the transaction.

“This was really a perfect match from the beginning,” Rhea Greene, Partner at Trinity Partners, said. “Midrex and APG’s goals were both aligned, which made for a great partnership. Midrex recognized the quality of the building, the existing buildout, and park setting. We are very excited for its employees to call LPCC5 home.”

APG plans to invest in capital improvements at the building, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, café, and employee training room. The new amenities will be free to use for tenants at both LakePointe Corporate Center 3 and 5. The scale and quality of the amenities offered will be unlike those offered at any other suburban office building.

“We’re looking forward to taking advantage of the high-class amenities and new facilities LakePointe Corporate Center offers,” Stephen Montague, Midrex President & Chief Executive Officer said. “A big factor in choosing LakePointe was its location and environment – both of which complement Midrex’s company culture.”

LakePointe Corporate Center 3 and 5 are a part of the LakePointe Corporate Center Office Park, which is just minutes from the airport and easily accessible to Interstates 77 and 85, and 10 minutes to Downtown Charlotte. LakePointe Corporate Center 3, LakePointe Corporate Center 5, and Edgewater Corporate Center were purchased by APG last summer and is the group’s first acquired space in the Charlotte market.

“The location of this Class-A office space truly meets the needs for a variety of tenants,” John Ball, Trinity Partners Director of Office Leasing, said. “Its proximity to nearby amenities, retail, dining, and diverse living options to suit every lifestyle are just a few perks that make this submarket desirable.”
