PurpleStride 2018 - The Walk To End Pancreatic Cancer

Taylor Nunnally

Team Trinity –

Once again, we’re honored to participate in this year’s PurpleStride event to raise money and awareness for pancreatic cancer. Many of you know that our founding partner, David Allen, passed in May 2014 after his diagnosis and since then, too many other friends and family of Trinity have been impacted by this horrible disease. It’s that time of year again to invite you to join Team Trinity as we walk (or run) the PurpleStride 5k in their honor.

David’s impact on Trinity and many of us was immeasurable, and one of his last wishes was for his family and friends to work to end pancreatic cancer. In his last weeks, he told his wife Mari Ann, “You have to stop this terrible disease.” We’ve worked to do just that, and this is our fourth year participating in the event. As you know, Trinity is a competitive bunch! Last year, (and for the 4th year in a row) we were the top-fundraising team with more than $47,000 raised! This year, there’s some fierce competition and we’ve got some ways to go to meet our goal of $20,000, but we are confident we can do it!

Please know that we do not want you to feel obligated in any way to participate or donate. Truly. We just want to let you know about our continued efforts to raise awareness and to remember our loved ones. If you’re up for it, we’d love to have you join us (to run or walk) on Saturday, September 15th in Romare Bearden Park. We’ll gather at Romare, participate in the 5K, and then meet post-race for light bites and refreshments at a TBD location.

If you have any questions at all, please reach out. You can find out more information about the event, join the Trinity team, and register HERE.
