Charlotte, NC – September 18, 2013 – Trinity Partners is pleased to announce that Atlas Copco has leased 64,000 SF in the multi-tenant industrial building located at 2101 Westinghouse Boulevard. Trinity Partners’ Terry Brennan represented the tenant, while the landlord, Beacon Partners, was represented by Tim Robertson.

This will mark Atlas Copco’s third South Charlotte location, preceded by their current operations in Westlake Corporate Campus (North American Service Center) and Nations Ford Business Park. The facility, located off the corner of Westinghouse Boulevard and South Tryon Street, will serve to store finished compressors and other goods.

“The two critical components we were looking for in this deal were the clear height and the location.” noted Brennan. “The extra four feet of racking space was important, as well as the option to expand with outside storage.” The facility boasts a clear height of 28 feet, as compared to many of its local counterparts which are commonly at 24 feet. Brennan went on to explain that location was vital, remaining in close proximity to their current operations in Westlake Corporate Campus.

The company also operates out of several nearby facilities located in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Founded in 1873, Atlas Copco manufactures compressors, expanders and air treatment systems, construction and mining equipment, as well as power tools and assembly systems. Their products are sold and rented under different brands through a worldwide sales and service network reaching more than 170 countries, half of which are served by wholly or partly owned customer centers. They currently manufacture their products in more than 20 countries.

The multi-tenant industrial facility is also occupied by the McGrann Paper Corporation. Atlas Copco is expected to occupy their portion of the building this month.
